Web Design Class

The Web Design class is being presented by Eric Sizemore and is aimed at giving the group some basics in designing a web page. The idea was to divide the class into two -- a more experienced group and one with less or no experience. As it turned out, there were only two of us with any web experience (Raphael and myself) and much of what he was planning to cover, I had already covered in the honours course. So Raphael and I decided that we actually did want to be in the groups with the others so we could brush up and also pick up other tips. I know very little about webblogs ... and in any event, it's a good way to brush up.

It would be better if the course wasn't so spread out ... much of what we are covering in two or three sessions, was covered over several months in my honours course, so some of the guys are struggling a bit... but we're getting there. The idea is that we would be able to train others on some basics of web page design.

The webblog was one way of getting published on the internet very quickly, although I tend now not to use it for practising the html coding, but rather as a diary and for reporting. But some of the odd things that appear on the webblog are exercises in the web design class.
